The first-ever tasted junk food of my life is Noodles. Known for its taste.
Love its magic masala. Buying it for its affordable price. Also considering it
for its 2-minute cooking. Is anything that is done at an instant not good
for a peaceful living?
The children of this generation tend to eat food by their eyes. The refreshing pleasant and attractive colors pull the children to buy. They wish to buy a product firstly as they fall in the guise of advertisements.
And also me who love eating nestle Maggi to the core. The best food for night studies of my lifetime. I do preferred it and still, I used to, and not idly, upma or even biscuits. An instant preparation with a yummy taste and which makes my tummy overfull. What I have so far observed is its taste, cost, cooking time, and obviously my love towards it. But never noticed its ingredients. Never thought is it safe to eat? What about the Nestle company? What about its other products?
Nestle company is the world’s largest producer of food and beverages.
Founded in the year: 1866
Founder of the company: Henri Nestle
Henri Nestle a German Born Swiss confectioner, one of the main creators of condensed milk.
1st World war helped Nestle in its growth. The world war created the demand for dairy products. By 1947, Nestle merged with Maggi, a manufacturer of seasonings and soups.
The British confectionery Company Rowntree Mackintosh was
acquired in 1988 for $4.5 billion which brought
brands like Kit Kat.
Those Nestle products are cheap and tasty. But is that healthy? Do the
products of Nestle meet the recognized definition of health? Several case
studies had been made on the crisis involving Maggi noodles. Though
it has been acknowledged some of its products “will never be healthy”
it is said that the Nestle Maggi sales contributed to over 25% of the
revenue of the Swiss Company’s India Unit. A report claims that 60%
of Nestle products are unhealthy.
This issue has not begun neither in recent years nor recent
times. The crisis had evolved and is in its existence since 2014. On March
26,2014 the food safety regulators examined Nestle Maggi and reported that
Maggi consumes a high level of Monosodium Glutamate (MSG) while mentioned in
its packet “No added MSG”. It has high lead content above
its permissible level. This report was carried in the Gorakhpur
district, Uttar Pradesh. Then a few months later the samples were
sent to the Central Food Laboratory (CFL) in Calcutta. Almost a year later
in April 2015, CFL confirmed Gorakhpur’s lab report. As it was confirmed that
it is completely unhealthy food, approximately 38,000 tonnes of
Nestle Maggi noodles were recollected from every retail
shop across the country and were destroyed. That made Nestle
Maggi’s share in the Indian market from 80% to 0%
But that was not the end of Nestle Maggi. Later somehow, Maggi returned to the shelves of supermarkets across the country. Thereby back to the box in my home, back to my bingy. There was neither a smooth path nor a rough path in this crisis. There was no end. Customers started buying it though. Recently again the controversy is raised on Nestle’s Indian Products. It claimed that the company’s products comprise health and nutrition products such as baby foods, dairy products, and coffee. And those are not classified as ‘unhealthy’ in the internal document. But other prominent products in Nestle's portfolio are Maggi noodles and chocolates claimed to be unhealthy food.
Nestle Products include:
Nescafe sunrise
Milkybar
Milo
Kitkat
Bar-One
Milkmaid
Nestea
Koko Krunch
Munch
Noodles of so many varieties:
Veg Atta Noodles
My ever favourite plain noodles
Chicken Noodles
Pasta
Ketchup & Sauces
Almost half of its products are my favourite.

Years back, when I was a
kid I used to believe it is made of pig fat. But well probably it's
made of chemicals. Maggi Noodles are unhealthy. But the cup Noodles is the
utmost unhealthy one.
Maggi instant noodles had a market share of 39% in Malaysia, 90% in India until The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) imposed a wide national ban on it and today it contributes 53% of the markets noodle supply, approximately.

Emotional & Nostalgic memories:
Beginning with #Wemissyoutoo #Maggimother #Welcomebackmaggi the brand has taken yet another emotional route to reach out its customers with #Nothinglikemaggi.
Could we control ourselves from stop eating this unhealthy food? Aren’t we aware of our living? Aren’t we aware of good and bad? Won’t the love towards Maggi vanish?
Then what makes us go towards buying Maggi packets?
